Final Film Poster

This is the final poster of our film. We chose a simple font as we want to be simple and straightforward with the audience. In terms of layout, we chose Tatiana to be in the middle as at some point in the film all characters revolve around her making her the centre of attention, also the fact that Tatiana is in the middle reflects to the fact that in the film there is something in the middle of the two brothers, which is Baker. Putting a girl in the middle of two men gives the audience a bit of insight into the film and the storyline.

In terms of proxemics we wanted each characters's personality to come across for example Ali's shirt and trousers being undone says a lot about his character and the look on his face reflects on his confidence.

Final Individual Poster Analysis

These are our final individual posters.  We got this intial idea from the Hangover, which was one of our main inspirations. They have individual posters of each characters with a tagline, which reflects each character's personalities. We thought this idea will work really well with our film as it would attract more attention from the audience and will inkeep with the theme and genre of the film.

However, we decided not to write the taglines on the posters as this would take the audience's attention from the characters and make them focus on all the wiritng.

For Rahil's poster we chose a white and pink background as it contrasts with the colours used in the magazine review, also pink reflects on his homosexual personality and the heart reflects on his platonic love for Baker.

For Ali's poster we decided to use a rather plain background to refllect on his personality and we chose purple as he wears purple in the film.

For Tatiana's poster we chose the colours wither and red, white to again reflcton the colours used in the magazine review and red as she wears red in the film and this colour represents love, passion, romance, lust and danger and these are all things that portray her character.

Final Company Logo

This is the final outcome of the company logo. We decided to desing the logo with dark, mysterious colours as it contrasts with the name of the company. The writing is in big letters in the middle as it is important for the audience to see this. The font used was taken from DAFONT.COM and we chose this font because we thought it went well with the name of the company and the whole image of the logo.

Audience feedback On Magazine Review

We got this feedback on the magazine in order to imporve it as we thought constructive feedback will help us make our magazine review better. We got feedback from our target audience which helped us a lot as the feedback enabled us to improve the magazine and we was able to find out what type of magazines interest our target audience. This is vitual inforamtion for us as we want to make our target audience happy, and that is us as a company meeting their needs and expectations.

Draft of Posters

We wanted our poster to reflect our company name "silverlight" and we wanted to use the same type of fonts and colours to our magazine article. One of our main inspirations was "The Hangover" and they had individual posters of each character with a post line. This was the type of look we wanted and this is why we decided to have individual posters of each character. We also decided to have the idea of a punch line for each character.

Draft of Magazine Review

This is a drat of our magazine. We decided to use pink and white colours as they represent romance. We wanted to make it seem as if it wasn't a serious film, but was packed with humour. We did this by using light colours and having a picture that would make the audience laugh. We decided to take a picutre of the magazine that would make the audience laugh and want to come and watch the film. We wanted the layout of the magazine to be simple, however we wanted it to reflect our film.

Different stages of Photoshop

We started off by inseting the image that was going to be used in our poster and magazine review. We then took away all the sopts on our faces and added more colour on our faces and bodies. This made it seem as if we were tanned and made picture more professional. We also added more light to the pictures which again reflected our company name "Silverlight Productions". We was able to take away some of Tatiana's thin hair and make her hair more fizzy, so that it stands out more. We also enlarged her boobs so that she looks more attractive and sexy.

Different stages of InDesign

We started off by opening a blank Indesign document. We then inserted text boxes to create the outline of the magazine, to make it easier for us to insert information, this also allowed the magazine to be more organised. After inserting the boxes we stared placing all the information in the correct place. InDesign allowed us to add different and colours and make it match with the font. We used a feature that InDesign allowed us to use called "Pen tool" this is a feature that rotates the words and adds a humours effect.

Still Grab For Change of Lighting

We added an effect using final cut pro. This was an effect that we used to allow the lighting to go from night vision to normal light by dissolving the lighting, we made it seem more realistic as this happens as soon as a light senses movement. This a common type of light which is also very modern in more sophisticated houses so this influenced us to use this effect as this contrasts to the area we filmed in, due to the fact that its regarded as a wealthy area.

Still Grab of Lighting In The Club Scene

We added different lightings in the club scene using the studio lights to make the club scene more realistic when filming. The studio lights had many different colours to make it seem like a club scene, including red, green, blue, white, black and many more. We decided to place these lights as the club scene would not look real without them. The lights also made the viewer feel as they were inside a club and this was trying to convey. Furthermore the lights made our characters more clear and stand out.

Still Grab of Transitions

We added a transition using final cut pro to allow the filming to move smoothly and give it a verisimilitude effect. The transition we used is called additive dissolve, this is an effect which makes the film seem like it goes through time and changes to a different scene. We decided to input the transition in that part as the song changed so we wanted to make it seem like it went through time. We saw a couple of films which used the same effect therefore we were influenced to use the same one as the transition was used for the same type of scene.
